About me

We are Ceri and Dwayne and we built our first van over 5 years ago. We documented the process all on YouTube and Instagram and we lived in our van full time for 3 years! We were wanting to explore more so we sold our previous van and now bought a truck camper in Canada to explore North America! Now we are in currently in Canada after spending the last year building our Skoolie. We are back travelling again through Canada. We are both super outdoor’s people love exploring new places especially where there’s water or beach! We have a tiny dog Tank (he’s a chihuahua) he’s lived on the road for 5 years and loves Skoolie life! We both are very musicals me the piano and Dwayne the guitar, both of which we had in our previous van but now miss playing! We took our van all over Europe, to Morocco and even Ireland, we also explored Canada, America and Mexico in our new Truck Camper. Now we are exploring more of Canada and hope to head back to Mexico to live in our Skoolie.

Vehicle Info

Our Skoolie’s name is Skyla and she is a a 1995 Thomas Vista 27ft School bus. We have a large queen bed with ample storage around and a skylight over the bed with windows all around. We have a full sized bathroom, with shower sink and composting ogo toilet. The living area has two large couches with storage and they turn into another bed with the use of our table. The kitchen is L shaped with a large fridge freezer, lots of storage, large sink, coffee machine, kettle and induction cook top.We have both fresh water and hot water tanks, the hot water and fridge are both powered by electric, with solar dump when we have extra power to heat the water. We have panoramic windows for perfect views of the ocean when parked up, plus a max air fan so we get a love breeze throughout. All door and windows have fly screens which is a bonus and we never get a bug inside the camper. There is ample storage through out the Skoolie including under the rear bed area. The Skoolie comes with both an 24v and 120v set up with a power cable. We also have 1600w of solar on the roof and the bus charges the batteries whilst driving.
We are always careful with where we take Skyla, but have never had an issue through out Canada. She has 6 brand new tires on her, they are on Dayton Rims so if anything were to happen it does take a professional to change.
