Description
Suncamper Sherwood 4WD on a 2004 Toyota Hilux Chassis. Sleeping arrangements are a permanent double bed above the cab, and the rear seats can be made into another double bed if needed. The vehicle is designed for off-grid camping. There is a 3 burner gas stove, gas fridge, and microwave which can be used only on mains power. A solar panel powers the interior lighting.
There is an inside shower and toilet. There is a gas heater for hot water. A diesel heater has recently been fitted.
There is plenty of seating at the rear, with a fold out table. There is plenty of storage space. She has an external awning and bike rack. Camping chairs, table and all bedding ,etc. are included.
Although she is old, she has been very reliable. The engine is a 3L turbo diesel. She can be quite heavy on fuel though. She has a long range fuel tank of 120 litres, which takes you about 800kms.Although she is a 4WD,she is not suitable on 4WD tracks due to the overall weight.
She is quite high of the ground for extra clearance. She is 3.2 m high.
