Description
This is the ideal camper for Europe. Short (5.2 m) and narrow (1.84 m). It has a high roof (2.7 m), so you can stand everywhere. The bathroom has a sink, toilet, toiletry cupboard and large clothing closet. The kitchen nook is conveniently placed square, making room for a (relatively) large sitting/dining area. There is ample room for storage of all groceries and pots and pans. Next to the 2-point gas cooker is a washing sink and a koelbox (40L).
The upper bed slides out, is longer than 2 m, and can sleep 2. However, we found it too narrow. Hence, one of us sleeps on the folding bench in the seating area (see photo). We carry a separate mattress, which conveniently covers the open bench and front chair to make a second bed. The advantage is that both travellers can sleep and get up without hindering each other.
The camper has 2 solar panels (270 W), which charge a 125AH lithium battery. With this setup, you can stay off grid for several day’s. The 600W inverter provides 230V to several sockets for charging computers, etc. We installed a Maxvan ventilator, which provides enough ventilation through the open sliding windows. These windows have removable metal mosquito netting. On top of all this, we installed a 25-litre LPG tank (content: 17-litre) so you will never run out of gas. The camper has a tow bar, on which we have a bicycle carrier. Not to forget that this camper is 4×4. Not strictly necessary for Europe. But if you want to go off the beaten track (beach/forest roads), then it may come in handy.
