We are Ceri and Dwayne and we build our van ourselves over a year and a half. We documented the process all on YouTube and Instagram and we live in our van full time! We are wanting to explore more area’s but don’t feel like shipping our van is for us so hope that exchange might work! We are both super outdoor’s people love exploring new places especially where there’s water or beach! We have a tiny dog Tank (he’s a chihuahua) he’s lived in the van and been around while we built it and loves van life! We both are very musicals me the piano and Dwayne the guitar, both of which we currently have in our van! We have taken our van all over Europe, to Morocco and even Ireland! She’s never let us down yet and is an amazing travelling home.
Our van’s name is Skyla, she is a Mercedes Sprinter LWB (170) Van, she has been fully converted for off grid life, with 400watts of solar on her roof, a b to b charger, two 110ah agm batteries and a 1600watts inverter. She also had a diesel heater, 10l hot water heater, 114l fresh water tank, 75l grey water tank, fully working shower (doubles as a drying room), with composting toilet, a large kitchen with 10 drawers, hob, deep sink, indoor out door extendable tap (can be used for outdoor showers) and a 65l fridge and 4l freezer. The van comes tones of storage including a floor to ceiling pull out pantry, 3 extra drawers, 5 over head cupboards, under floor storage with a safe, large over cab storage and garage space. There are also 2 fiamma turbo vents, side windows that open and 2 seating areas. One single seat with a work top and a rear U shaped seating area, with swivel table that turns into an extreme large king size bed! Skyla has always ran extremely well, been serviced every year by us and has a set of 4 All Terrain tyres and a basic spare tyre.
No smoking, ensure the batteries don’t drop below 12.00, don’t use anything over 1200watts and just be kind and gentle with Skyla.
